There are several ways you can start online business as an affiliate (or promoting your own product) with zero expenses. Think what market niche you want to promote to, for example, dog training. Join affiliate networks such as Clickbank or Amazon Associates, and find products to sell. Ok, you should be set with market and products.

It is very important to look for affiliate programs that give you supporting materials like articles on a subject, keywords and banners.  You don’t want to start from a scratch and write your own articles, unless you are a subject expert and do want to write them.  Next step is to modify articles and make sure to have targeted keywords and YOUR affiliate link in an article.  You start a blog or website to succeed, not to fail. But these 2 mistakes can bring down any good intention, and suck your time and energy like a vacuum cleaner.

Mistake 1. Placing bet on a single, hot product. Products come and go, and what’s hot now can be gone from market in 6 months. Start with choosing MARKET first, narrow market as much as you can (find niche) and then work your way with products. Try to find five to ten affiliate products that you want to promote, and you’ll be in a good shape.
